This is a sweet garnet pin circa 1920. It has a double row of Bohemian dark red garnets which surround a central dark smoky quartz faceted stone. The combination of color makes this especially pretty and unusual. The rear has the original trombone clasp. There are maker's marks and the number 800(Continental silver). The pin has a gold wash and measures 1 1/4 inches across x 1 1/8 inches down. It is in excellent, original condition.

This is a silver and cornelian hand made Danish Skonvirke brooch circa 1910. These early brooches were made during the time that the early Georg Jensen pieces were manufactured. The term Skonvirke means beautiful work. The style is naturalistic featuring flowers and leaves. The pin is signed on the back BH which is for Bernhard Hertz
who was well known for this style of work. It has a mark that has
