This antique English heart locket is Edwardian. It is rendered in 15k gold and accented with a central .10pt old mine cut diamond. The Edwardian period , named after the reigning King, is a period of marked beauty in jewelry. The form of a heart, has always symbolized love and the pure sentiments of the giver.

It has full English hallmarks on the reverse, with the date letter indicating 1908 ,15k and Birmingham as the place of manufacture. It also has a maker's mark of JA &S. It retains an original, rich yellow gold patina often referred to as "bloom" in antique jewelry. It measures 1 1/8 inches from the top "O" ring X 7/8 across. The condition is excellent with very slight surface wear . The interior has the original glass inserts and removable bezels. By removing the bezels, photos of choice are easily inserted. One glass has a fracture and can be removed if desired.

It comes with a black cord with 14k clasp. The locket will always remain the perfect gift, as it retains the sentiment of the giver. England, circa 1910
