This small Georgian garnet locket is 18th century. It has flat ,foil back cut garnets set in gilt metal surrounding a central glass locket. The locket which opens in the back, has been filled with tiny cut diamonds and three faceted garnets. The stones all move freely and sparkle as they move. This charming design was popularized by many designers including Renee Lewis of Barney's, and Chopard.
Fun worn alone on a chain, or as a charm on a bracelet. It is charming, small and versatile, measuring 8/10 ths of an inch and 1 inch long with the O ring. The locket has the beauty of antiquity with a contemporary twist.
