I have just returned from France with some wonderful antique Victorian silver chains. This particular chain is silver with rose gold vermeil stars, accenting the lozenge shaped links. It is lovely worn alone, or with other silver or niello chains. It measures a long 56 inches X 1/4 inches wide. It has French guarantee marks on the end "O" ring for silver and gold. The original spring ring has been replaced with a new secure ring enabling this to be doubled/tripled or worn long. It is 15.6 dwt. and in excellent condition. France, circa 1890 |
