| Silver jewelry, like this English silver collar, was very popular in the 19th century. Like all periods of jewelry, it is the design and execution that distinguishes a piece. This wonderful example has a six sided link, centered with a silver spiral, and accented with cannonballs. The design is simple and elegant, with the finely engraved, scalloped links providing a softening touch . It measures 18.5 inches long X 3/4 inches wide.
