Extremely fine detailed work was used to create this antique Victorian stick pin. It has a centrally set, dished oval faceted garnet studded with a finely executed fly. The fly is set with pave rose cut diamond wings and rendered with beautifully guilloche enamel. The 18k bezel set mounting completes this small work of art. Jewelry is designed to impress from a distance, and how wonderful finding a piece that becomes even more distinguished when viewed with a jewelers loupe. The top section measures 10.20 mm X 7.50mm. The length is 1 3/8 inches. Excellent condition. Most likely English in origin, circa 1900 |
