This Georgian 18 karat gold ruby and diamond ring is circa 1830. It is a testament to the skill of the jeweler. It is designed with a central cabochon ruby accented by diamonds on either side. The ruby has a beautiful rope edge border and is foil back to reflect light. The ruby is a natural Burmese, measuring 1/4 carat. The diamonds, which are silver set in hand crimped collets are old mine cut HI, VS and SI, measuring 6 pts. each with a deep set stone. The shank is a work of art, completed hand chased. The patina is rich in color and original
The ring measures a 6 US. This is a ring that has a special glow reflecting a beautiful composition, balanced and elegant. It is not large in scale, but large in grandeur of skill. It is truly wonderful. Condition is excellent, dare I say perfect. It is elegant worn alone, or joined with other early period rings.
England, circa 1830
