Incredibly lovely, this French, Napoleon 111, bracelet is circa 1810. It is in gilded metal, still so vibrant, that it looks like 18 karat gold. The design is of a central section embellished with opalescent glass. Within each glass section is a fine decorative flower motif centered with a turquoise colored glass stone. The metal is repousse, which is metal shaped from the back to create decorative forms. The connecting bracelet is just as beauifully designed as the central section, only is simpler and more geometric. The bracelet terminates with a concealed clasp. It measures 7 1/4 inches long and the central section measures 1 3/4 inches across. Any white spots on the glass are merely the result of my flash. The condition is excellent. So very difficult to find these bracelets, and one with this bold design and condition is a rarity. Truly wonderful!
