These are beautiful, antique French diamond earrings, circa 1900. They are known as dormeuse, or sleeper earrings as their petit size made them comfortable enough to wear through the night. They have a buttercup settings in platinum with 18 karat gold mounts and ear wires. The larger stones are approximately 32 pts each and the top approximately 8 pts. The color is white, VS FG finely cut and radiant on the ears. The bottom stones are attached with a connecting loop and move ever so slightly and shimmer with every movement.
They measure 3/4 inches long X approximately 3/8ths inches across the bottom setting. They weigh 5 grams combined weight. They have a serial number 328 on each ear wire and retain a French guarantee stamp for gold.
The condition is excellent. They are finely rendered as expected of French jewelry and are a wonderful size for day or evening.
