| These are quite spectacular both for rarity and for condition. They are Georgian, circa 1800 and designed with beautiful, clear black dot pastes. Black dot was used to simulate the culet of a diamond and is found in the finest paste jewels. These are not converted from buttons, but all original including the gold, back to front mounts. The pastes are all foil back and set in silver crimped, rub over settings. The craftsmanship is superb and the pastes reflective and brilliant. Finding early earrings are so difficult, but finding them in excellent, original condition rarer still. They measure 3/4 inches round. Truly lovely! | |||||||
