| These garnet and pearl earrings are Austro-Hungarian, circa 1890. The setting is vermeil which is silver washed in high carat gold. The Bohemian garnets are a rich red color and they are accented by split pearls. Long and dramatic,they measure 2 1/2 inches from the top of the ear wire x 5/8 wide. They are completely original, in excellent condition with Austro-Hungarian touchmarks on the earwires. There is one minor repair on the rear bottom drop of one earring. Early garnet earrings are hard to find and these are especially lovely with the pearl accents. | ||||||||
