| Antique silver, opal and peridot ring, circa 1900. The style is very much in keeping with the Arts and Crafts Movement with double twisted silver wire shank and peridots accented by small silver balls between each stone. The reverse shows the pierced back which creates an interesting effect when seen from the front. The color combination is beautiful and the opal colors, subtle with flashes of green and rose. There are surface scratches to the opal visible under magnification. The peridots are well matched and have natural inclusions. The central section measures 27 mm long x 20mm across. The opal measures 15mm x 9mm. The ring is a size 7 1/2 US. The central section measures It is completely original with a fine patina. Most likely English in origin, dramatic and lovely. | ||||||||
