These sterling earrings are English, circa 1880. They are beautiful and simply designed which is most difficult to find in Victorian jewelry since most were ornate and engraved. These have simple orbs that articulate within a sphere . The sphere has tiny cannonball accents typical of the period. The reverse reveals all original tops and silver ear wires. The orbs have a tiny hole in the back which is NOT a defect, but was used to release air during the manufacturing process. The earrings measure 1 1/2 inches from the top of the wire x 7/8 across. The condition is excellent. They are truly elegant. |
