The salmon coral is faceted both on the tops and the bottoms and set in beautifully rendered 15k rose gold. The top section has a finely twisted gold wire creating an elegant, fine bezel for the coral. The twisted wire moftif is then carried to the bottom as an understated decoration which joins both parts. The earrings are attached through the ear, back to front, with all original mountings. The salmon has a few tiny spots of natural imperfections and is well carved and faceted. They are long, measuring 2 1/2 inches from the top of the wire x 1/2 inches across the bottom. The proprotions are elegant, and the size of the coral substantial. The condition is excellent and the earrings completely original. Elegant and lovely,circa 1830.
