Excellent circa 1820 Regency library chair upholstered in green leather with scrolled arms, high back and carved mahogany lyre front; on brass casters. Rosette detailing at the arms, fluted front legs. Upholstery is likely early to mid-20th century. Approximate measurements: 41"h x 30"w x 28"d. Very elegant and stately chair.
Provenance: estate of Alfred Owen Aldridge; purchased from antiques dealer in England in 1994. |
