A charming pair of chinese porcelain foo dogs decorated in a sancai glaze and each standing on an integral plinth. Each has a joe-stick holder on his back. One has 2 indecipherable marks to the base.Dating from the late C19th/ early C20th., they stand 6 1/4inches (15.9 cm) high. 1). Small chips to the top of the holder and a tooth, and his separately modelled eyes are missing. It is in otherwise good condition 2). Damage to jos holder and front leg (which would have had a ball) is missing. One eye missing.

A chinese blue and white porcelain plaque made from the shoulder of a ming vase and depicting deer amongst rocks and trees. The porcelain is nearly 1 inch thick and would have been from a monumental vase. The frame has been custom made from a hard metal, possibly silvered bronze.The porcelain is early Ming, the frame C19th. It measures 7 inches (17.8 cm) across the frame. There is a fair amount of surface wear and the glaze has fled in places (original). It weighs 1070gms so be aware of postage costs.
