A fine Japanese cloisonne vase decorated in silver wire cloisonnes with a butterfly and flowers. The leaves are subtley variegated in a musen technique. The rims are bronze. The interior neck is enamelled green and the base black. Dating from the 2nd half of the C19th., it stands 7 1/4inches (18.4 cms) high.It weighs 380gms. Ther is a small dent to the bronze footrim and 3 very faint stress lines emanating from the area.(See photos). It is otherwise good condition.

A small chinese porcelain teapot decorated in famille rose enamels in the Qianjiang style with a bird on a branch and calligraphy. Dating to the Republic period or possibly earlier, it stands 3 3/8inches (8.6 cms) to top of knop. It is in good condition with wear to the gilding but no frits, chips or cracks.

An English porcelain teabowl from the lowestoft factory. It is decorated in underglaze blue and enamels with a rock and fence design. (For a saucer of the same design, see "Lowestoft porcelain in the Norwich Castle Museum" Vol. 2). Dating from 1780-1800, it measures 3 1/4inches (8.1 cms) across. There is an original, glazed over fault on the footrim withh associated glaze over-run. It is in good condition.
