A first period worcester coffee cup potted in a highly translucent cream colour porcelain body. It is painted in famille rose enamels with an oriental scene. Dating from c.1770, it stands 2 7/16th inches (6.2 cm) high. There is a bubble burst/frit to the rim (see photo, some gilding inside this grit suggesting it is an kiln burst.) and the gilding has worn. It is otherwise in very good condition. |
