A chinese porcelain plate of octagonal form with pie crust edges and decorated in famille verte enamels with birds in a garden. Dating from the Kangxi period (1662-1722), it measures 10 inches (25.5 cm) max across. It has been broken in 5 main pieces and restuck. There is an area of loss to the paste. This is a very rare plate and worthy of restoration or inclusion in a reference collection. |
