CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE PORCELAIN VASE JIANGXI PORCELAIN C
GBP 225

A chinese baluster shape porcelain vase and cover potted in a fine Jingdezhen quality porcelain and profusely decorated in famille rose enamels on a turquoise ground with 2 five-clawed dragons chasing a flaming pearl amongst clouds. It has an iron red 4 character Jiangxi mark to the base.

Dating from the Republic period, it stands 8 5/8inches (22 cm) high.

The vase is in very good condition. The lid has a small chip to the top of the rim. The glaze includes some miniscule air bubbles which give a slightly sippled appearance in small areas particularly the base (Original)
