An English soapstone porcelain deep bowl decorated in blue, white and gilt with three armorial devices to the exterior and initials to the interior base. There is a Caughley S mark to the base. Dating from the late C18th., it measures 4 inches across and 3 1/4inches deep. There is a star crack to the side and crazing to the base. There is wear to the gilding. An unusual item that displays well. |
