A Dutch Delft vase decorated in underglaze blue with birds amongst trees and rockwork in the chinese style. There is a mark to the base, possible that of the Porceleyne De Bijl workshop (1739-88). Dating from the C18th., it stands 9 inches high. It has the usual rim nibbles associated with tin glazed earthenware, but less than usual. It is in very good condition. |
