An early ironstone pottery plate decorated in underglaze blue print and hand painted enamels with flower basket and rockwork. It bears an impressed mark (masons patent ironstone china) and also an underglaze blue mark. These put it in the earliest category of Masons Ironstone production. Dating c. 1813-25, it measures 9.4inches (23cms) across. There is some minor wear and surface scratching. |
