A fine French porcelain vase manufactured by Samson, Paris. It is decorated in bright famille rose enamels and is a convincing copy of an C18th chinese export baluster vase.There is a typical Samson pseudo-chinese mark to the base. Dating from the 2nd half of the C19th., it stands 11 1/2inches high inc. lid (9 3/4inches without). There is minor wear to the gilding and some very minor surface scratches. It is in very good condition. |
