An English teapot, probably Spode Newstone ironstone. It is printed and hand painted and gilt with a floral design. Dating from c.1820-40, it stands 4 1/8inches high and 6 1/4inches from tips of spout to handle. The glaze has worn off some high points on the handle and the spout, and minor wear to the gilding. It is in otherwise very good condition. |
