A charming pearlware teapot with a hand painted scene of a lady and a child by a fence, (This is based on a New Hall porcelain design). Dating from the last quarter of the C18th., it stands 6 1/4inches (16 cms) high. There is an extended firing fault to the base which is partially glazed over (original), chips to the spout and lid and some staining. Not as bad as it sounds and displays very well. (please study photos) |
