An unusual Barr Worcester cup & saucer hand painted in underglaze blue with chinese/tibetan style characters. There is an incised B to the base of each piece. Dating from 1792-1807, the saucer measures 5 1/2inches (14.2 cms) across and the cup 3 1/4 inches (8.3 cms) across the rim. The tail to the handle is chipped off. It is in otherwise very good condition. |
