An unusual chinese porcelain coffee can / cup decorated en grisaille on a turquoise ground in the Dayazhai style of the Empress Dowager Cixi. There is a 6 character Guangxu reign mark in underglaze blue to the base. Dating from the Guangxu period (1875-1908), it stands 2 1/8inches (5.4 cms) high. There is wear to the rim gilding. It is in good condition with no frits, chips or cracks. |
