An unusual pair of Japanese hexagonal cloisonne vases decorated with panels enclosing flowers and butterflies using gilt bronze wire of different guages. One has an inscribed signature to the gilt base. Dating from the 2nd half of the C19th., they each stand 3 3/4inches (9.5 cms) high. The bases are a little uneven and one has a miniscule dent (see photo 10). BUT no enamel loss or damage although there is quite a bit of original pitting. |
