A Chinese drum shaped porcelain tea pot painted on one side with a scholar and attendant and to the other with rows of calligraphy. There is a very faint but unreadable seal mark to the base. Dating from c.1900, it measures 4 5/8inches (11.7 cms) high. There is wear to the gilding, some minor frits to the spout and a small area of chips to the inside of the rim (not visible to the outside). |
