A chinese bronze censer in the form of a man riding a deer. The deer inlaid with copper and silver patches and the man with silver inlaid scroll pattern. Dating from late Ming/C17th., it stands 6 1/2inches (16.6 cms) high. The rider's hands are missing and there would have been a locating pin attached to the rider to fit into the hole on the rim of the censer. It is in good condition with a nice patina. |
