A Spode blue & white pearlware pottery platter decorated in underglaze blue transfer of a typical soft tone. It is unmarked except for a number "5" to the reverse. There are 3 single spur marks to the front and 3 triple spur marks to the back all from kiln stacking (original). Dating from c.1810-20, it measures 7 7/8inches (20 cms) long. It is in very good condition. |
