Early 20thC Japanese Gold and Silver Seahorse Cufflinks
This is a fabulous pair of Japanese silver and gold cufflinks, c. 1900 - 1920. They bear the "Jungin" mark meaning 'pure silver' (950+ high grade silver) used primarily in the Meiji period (1868 - 1912) and for a short while thereafter. They have a raised seahorse in the center swimming amongst gold reeds. The gold tests at least 10k and is probably higher. The cufflinks have a diameter of 3/4" and are in excellent condition. They are also signed on the cross-bar with what is probably a maker's mark - see photo.
