VICTORIAN 14k Gold Etruscan Rev. Locket, c. 1880

This is a wonderful Victorian Etruscan Revival 14k yellow and rose gold locket, c. 1880. The locket measures 2 1/4" x 1 1/4" and has good weight (21.1 grams). The body of the locket is yellow gold and the frame and decoration on the body are slightly rose gold. The front is set with seed 8 seed pearls. The locket is in excellent condition and is not marked, but tests 14k gold. The original inserts inside the locket are missing and a pin was added to the back of the locket at some point so it could also be worn as a brooch. This could easily be removed by a jeweller if desired.
