Grand striking Mahogany Neoclassical Centennial bookcase made by the Bradburn Furniture Company in London, England as an homage to the original 18th Century mahogany piece custom made by William Vile and John Bradburn for Queen Charlotte of England and Buckingham Palace in 1762 (see photos of original). The original its origin and background can be viewed on the royalcollection website for English Museums and Palaces, e-Gallery page – see bookcase). This piece was made in 1862, 100 years later, by the heirs of the original maker, as a commemorative piece. It is made of the finest mahogany, with the utmost artistic Master craftsmanship including exceptional intricate hand carved garlands and Corinthian capitals – just like the Palace original. Dimensions: (104” h. X 103” w. X 28” d.).
