| "Chameau" (Camel), bronze sculpture signed by Antoine-Louis Barye (1795 - 1875). Bayre famous French sculptor of animals, created a number commissions for the French Royal Court. He was Director of Casts and Models in the Louvre and Master of Zoological Drawing in the Musee d'Histore Naturelle (students included Auguste Rodin) and received many honors including Officer in the Legion d'Honneur, first presidency of the Central Union of Beaux Arts, Grand Medal at the Exposition Universelle in Paris. 7" High X 7" Long X 3" Wide. | |||||||
