| Elegant large stately gilt bronze 19th Century French clock with exquisite French two train movement and beautiful sounding fine French silver bell, strikes on the hour and half hour. Runs great, keeps perfect time. Movement, signed "Hersant Se 1B De Chatelain Paris", has been recently cleaned by a Master clockmaker. It runs great and keep excellent time. Both Roman numeral and Arabic numbered chapters surround the stunning face which display classically beautiful delicate ornate and finely crafted gold gilt French hour and minute hands. This piece displays unusually fine and artistic chasing in its case (see photos)which includes minutely detailed lion's head, garlands, leaves and a crowning vase of roses. Circa 1880s.
