|Own this strikingly handsome 19th Century antique French champleve crystal regulator clock which features beveled glass front door, French time and strike two train movement - signed “L. Brocot” (see photo), exquisite champleve and brass case and original rare matching champleve mercury pendulum. This clock runs great, keeps good time and has been cleaned and gone over by a Master Clock-Maker. This stellar example of fine French clock-making features the famous and ingenious Brocot escapement and Brocot suspension. Made by Jean-Louis Brocot (1855 – 1885, who had three patents in his own right), grandson of Louis Gabriel Brocot (1791 – 1872), the founder of the Brocot French Clock dynasty, watch and clock maker for Napoleon and inventor of over five brilliant French clock technology patents.
