Sugar Crusher Mouth Blown Muddler Antique Victorian
This is an antique English sugar crusher, sugar tamper or the more modern name of muddler made of mouth blown glass in England 1870-1880s. The sugar crusher measures 4.75 inches long and is in very good +++ condition with some surface wear evident. Sugar crushers, or tampers or the more modern name muddler, were used to break up lumps of sugar for better absorption in tea, drinks or cooking. They are a true victorian era kitchen gadget and are almost never seen. They were once a staple of every kitchen. This sugar crusher is also very faintly turning color which isn't noticeable in the photo but is against white paper or other muddlers. A wonderful kitchen gadget. Shipping in the US by USPS priority insured.
