| A museum quality atef crown piece, comprised of a feather of the goddess Ma'at, which rests on a ram's horn, flanked by a single uraeus. Finely cast in bronze, the piece was originally gilded in gold, portions of which are still present. The piece is quite large, being 8" in height. It would originally have been part of a large atef crown and the two tangs for attachment are intact and undamaged. There is no sign of repair or restoration and beautiful red cuprite and green malachite deposits are visible. Dates to Late Period Egypt, ca. 664-323 B.C. | ||
