A beautiful Japanese traditional music instrument Biwa. This type of biwa is called “Heike-biwa”, which has four strings and five frets used to play “Heike Monogatari”, - an epic account of the struggle between the Taira and Minamoto clans for control of Japan at the end of the 12th century in the Genpei War (1180-1185). The biwa is also the chosen instrument of Benten, goddess of music, eloquence, poetry, and education in Buddhism.

It is in very good condition.
