Signed Libbey Optic Diamond Vase by Nash

Designed by Arthur Nash while at Libbey between 1932 and 1935, this vase is a prime example of his accomplishments. It is fashioned in an eye-catching pattern of undulating pink and white opalescent stripes over an optic diamond pattern. It has a polished pontil, fire polished rim and measures 12" Tall by 4 1/2" Diameter and is in excellent condition. Signed with an acid mark "Libbey" in the pontil. The vase may be referenced on page 33 and 87 of American Art Glass by Shuman. Reminiscent of Nash's work at Tiffany this vase will surely be a prized addition to any public or private collection of Tiffany, Steuben, Quezal or Loetz and will undoubtedly gain in value as time goes on.
