Loetz Tango Vase by Michael Powolny
Fresh to the market place is this stunning Blue and White Tango vase by Loetz, circa 1920. Designed by Michael Powolny this piece is a great example of the Tango Glass produced by this highly collected Bohemian glass house. Standing 5 5/8 inches Tall by 6 inches in Diameter this vase is in excellent condition. The base color is an eye-catching rare pastel blue with a white rim, three applied white ball feet and three applied white oval prunts on the body. It has a polished pontil and fire-polished rim. The vase may be referenced on and in Bohmisches Glas by Ricke on pages 233 and 280. Overall, this vase is an outstanding example of Bohemian art glass that would compliment other pieces by Tiffany, Steuben, Quezal or Loetz. It would be a great addition to any private or public collection and is sure to increase in value as time goes on.
