L.C. Tiffany Studios Favrile Rare Corona Factory Vase

A fantastic and super rare decorated vase made by Tiffany in the early days at the Corona Factory, circa 1890's. These vases were first made in 1894 for shipment abroad, but not sold in New York until 1896. An excellent example of the early work at Tiffanys, this vase is great to behold. The base glass is whitish and has an iridescent pulled feather design in Brown and Green with highlights in Gold and Purple. The rim is also brown with a gold iridescence on the interior. The vase stands 4 inches High by 3 1/2 inches wide and is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. It has a polished pontil as seen in the photo, the dark spot is a area of color from the inside that shows through. The vases is unsigned, as many of the earlier works were by Tiffany. Vases of this type may be referenced in Koch's book on Tiffany. Rarely found in today's market these vases are a prized addition to any collection of Tiffany, Steuben, Loetz, Durand or Quezal.
