| This is a very fine example of American Art Glass by Durand of Vineland New Jersey. Executed in a base glass of Ambergris, an eye-catching platinum blue iridescence covers the surface of this blue lustre vase. The background décor has a multi colored coil pattern in white and gold. Measuring 8 3/8 inches in Height by 4 inches in Diameter this vase is in very condition. Polished pontil. The form and decoration may be seen in Durand The Man and His Glass by Meschi. Overall, this vase is a stunning and rare example of American Art Glass that would go perfect in a collection alongside pieces by Galle, Tiffany, Steuben or Loetz. | |
