Tani Masayasu later Tani Buncho, Nanga painter. Born to a samourai family in Edo. First studied Kano painting with Kato Bunrei and Kitayama Kangan then studied the nanga style under Watanabe Gentai anf Kushiro Unsen also studied all other types of painting currently practiced in Japan.
