7x4 10 Iranian Lavar Kerman Pictorial Prayer Rug...very good condition considering it is from the last quarter of the 19th Century. I believe the King is Shah Abbas who directed Iran in an autonomous fashion. The rug has many magical motifs going on. The angel on the ostrich. The birds at odds with the serpents in the border. This is a special rug presenting a very special leader in history who respected religious diversity in Iran. An uncommon leader who led his country to greatness.
