"OSTDEUTSCHE WERKSTATTEN NEISSE" - "MADE IN GERMANY" Beautiful Arts and Crafts period, Circa 1900 to 1910, Hand-hammered copper centerpiece Diameter: 18 5/8" Height from table top: 4 1/4" Weight: 5 pounds. This piece has a wonderful un-touched burnished patina. The werkstetten marks are on the bottom (see photos)... It is also marked "made in Germany" but I didn't take a picture of that stamp. We purchased this piece in Pennsylvania about 20 years ago. It has been in our own collection for that period. My camera does not do justice to the beauty of this bowl. All the hammer strokes are beautifully aged to perfection. |
