This is substantial 19th Century Huanghuali Table made in the European style. It is mainly huanghuali with huangyangmu inlay. Signs of wear and usage on the top. It was made in So. China and is now in Beijing.

This zitan sugar cane squeezer. It is of course a mock one but was used by a scholar to remind him of his roots in the agricultural sector. It was probably made in the South of China, where sugar cane is grown, and used there. It is elegant and yet practical looking. Excellent Condition. 19th Century

Three Mid-Qing elm altar tables. Sold As is Where Is. Not in any way repaired or refinished. These 3, maybe 4, tables are sold to any buyer as they are sold in Beijing. No refinishing. As is Where is. The buyer then can be assured he is getting a truly old piece and then can re-finish or not as desired. Such work can be done easily enough here in Beijing. An example of a table I have re-finished is sewn below. It is old but has been cleaned up.

This is a rarely seen huanghuali coffer, called in Chinese a lian-san or a sitizhuo. (4 drawer table). It is in excellent condition, well-carved. I am working to obtain this. Actually called a lian-si.
