This is a big ceramic frog; It looks like it might be bamboo but is decidedly some ceramic probably porcelain, not pottery. He is eying you and me. His right front foot has been repaired. This is readily seen from the bottom, but not from the top. This is a skillful repair.

This Yixing mythical animal is in superb condition. I purchased it in Hong Kong in the mid-1980s and have kept it in a good environment since. It is signed by one Zhong Mei. As shown, the head can be removed from the body. K.S. Lo of Hong Kong put Yixing back on the map in the 1980s; he wrote books about Yixing ware; other writers in China have written about it in Chinese. In mid-May someone asked me where I purchased it.
